As the St. Louis Jewish community continues to grow and thrive, the need to serve our community’s singles has grown exponentially. The St. Louis Shidduch Initiative was created with the sole purpose of helping our community’s singles and their families navigate the challenges of out-of-town dating and the ever changing world of shidduchim.
The St. Louis Shidduch Initiative Mission
Our mission is to advocate and serve as a resource for the single men and women of
the St. Louis Jewish community, by creating connections, facilitating dating opportunities, providing educational experiences and developing communal awareness.
SCOPE
The Shidduch Initiative aims to provide:
• Programs, workshops and events for singles, parents and the
community at large to offer guidance and chizuk.
• Coaching and resources for singles to assist in resume building, personal presentation and support during dating.
• Training and networking opportunities to current and new
shadchanim through mentorship programs and collaboration with other cities.
• Monetary incentives for local and out of town shadchanim.
• Funding to create a comfortable dating experience for out-of town daters from flights, accommodations and transportation, to
have the easiest and most pleasant experience possible.
We are building on the work already started by many dedicated community members over the years and hope that the Initiative will facilitate the networking and exchange of ideas, resources and connections.
